* Round 4 – Post Offer Round: A late tryout will be offered to players who did not make round 1, 2 or 3 of tryouts and where we have open spots on teams available. Round 4 will be a placement tryout for a tournament team or as a practice player.
** Only one (1) tryout day is required. The more attended days, the more our coaches can evaluate, the better your player's team placement.

Returning Surge players will receive a one time $50 discount off their club registration fee if they bring a friend/friends along to tryouts and that player(s) receives and accepts an offer to play for a Surge team. This is a one time discount of $50 and NOT a per friend (player) discount. Contact us for more details.
Costs for the 2023/24 season:
Boys Fees:
14U Teams ($850) 5-6 competition days
15U Teams ($1050) 6-7 competition days
16U Teams ($1050) 6-7 competition days
17U Teams ($1150) 7-9 competition days
18U Teams ($1150) 7-9 competition days
Girls Fees:
10U $600 – 4 competition dates* (#2,#4 remark below)
12U $800 – 4 to 6 competition dates* (#2,#4 remark below)
13U $1100 – 6 to 8 competition dates (#1, #2,#4 remarks below)
14U-17U Club team $1600 – 9 to 11 competitions (#1,#2,#5 remarks below)
14U-17U Open team $1600 – 9 to 11 competition days (#1,#2,#3,#5 remarks below)
18U Club team $1300 – 8 to 9 competitions (#1,#2,#5 remarks below)
18U Open team $1600 – 9 to 11 competition days (#1,#2,#3,#5 remarks below)
1- Competition – 1 day event=1 competition; multi day event (less than $550)=2 competition days; multi day event over $551=3 competition days
2- Additional competitions available paid on a per event basis (tournament registration fee + $75 admin fee)
3- Including minimum of 1 AAU National Qualifier and 1 USA Volleyball National Qualifier.
4- All fees due in full at Parent meeting on October 2nd, 2023 (Boys) and November 20th, 2023 (Girls)
5- Girls Only-Initial deposit of $800 due at the Parent meeting on November 20th, 2023. Remaining payment: $400 January 1st, 2024 & $400 February 1st, 2024.

Late (must be received 24 hours in advance or tryout is considered a walk-in) and Walk-in Registration fee will be $90 Non-refundable
All tryouts after October 23rd for 10U-14U are considered walk-in and will be charged $90 to tryout.
DO NOT mail payments after:
- 7/14/2023 for Boys and girls 15U-18U attending summer tryouts
- 10/17/2023 for Girls 12U to 14U
- 10/27/2023 for Girls 15 to 18 years old attending winter tryouts
Payment must be received before Tryouts to count as prepaid. Registrations received online without payment will be charged the walk-in fee of $90.
Mail $50 (non refundable) tryout fee to Club’s Mailing Address below. Make check payable to “Surge Volleyball”.
Parents must attend tryouts with their sons and daughters. Players selected for a team will be emailed following tryouts with an offer available for only 48 hours. KRVA does not allow offers to be sent before the Monday after tryouts. Offers must be accepted by following the instructions in the “offer” email from SurgeVolleyball.org and copying Surge Volleyball at [email protected].
Must Register with USA volleyball through www.krva.org to participate in tryouts. Players just trying out for a team may choose the $15 membership option (non-refundable) on the KRVA website (Click here to register) when initially filling out the form. If the player is selected to be on a team and they accept our offer, they would then need to upgrade their membership to full through Surge Volleyball Club for an additional $41.00. The total membership fee for KRVA is $56.00.

• October 20th-22nd – Girls 12U to 14U Tryouts - Offers sent 7:00 pm October 25th
• July 21st-23rd – Girls 15U to 18U '23/24 Season SUMMER Tryouts - Offers sent 7:00 pm July 25th
• November 10th-12th – Girls 15U to 18U '23/24 Season WINTER Tryouts - Offers sent 7:00 pm November 15th
• Sunday November 19th, 2023 – Mandatory Club Coaches, Parent, & Player meeting: 6:00-8:00 pm (Registration fee due at this time.)
